Sheila Psaledas About the Artist Landscapes of New England and beyond in beautiful bold colors using pastels, oils or watercolors "AUTUMN'S GLOW" (the Waterloo Covered Bridge in Warner, NH) PASTEL Award-winning artist Sheila Psaledas paints beautiful landscapes of New England and beyond in oils, pastels or watercolors. Her realistic style reflects Impressionist influence with use of bold color and directional strokes. Her desire to capture the wonders of nature has led her to travel abroad and to paint in Ireland, Italy, France, Spain Portugal, and Greece. Her art studies began early as a child, when she took drawing and painting at the Currier Museum School in Manchester, NH. Sheila received a degree in Art Education and has taught art in New Hampshire schools and at her Modes of Expression Art Studio. Classes and workshops are offered at the studio, located in Hillsborough, New Hampshire. Exhibiting works in a number of galleries and outdoor exhibits, Sheila has also worked with a variety of charitable foundations to raise money for these causes with her art works. Some of these are CASA, Kiwanis, Lions Club and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Recently she donated this painting of one of New Hampshire's historic covered bridges (shown above) to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation as a fund-raiser.
